Getting To Know The Fordpass App

Early 2021 Ford launched a brand-new app, which is set to make the life of every Ford customer, easier. This app is called FordPass and it's not just for Ford drivers.

The FordPass App has everything available at your fingertips, on your phone that you carry with you everywhere. It is meant to be the connection between automotive and computer technology and the ever expanding digital world. Users can access many great benefits and in the case of FordPass Connect vehicles, even have their vehicle synced to their phone. And this app is available for free in both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Some key features of the FordPass App

• Receive important alerts such as recall notifications
• View your vehicle service history
• Earn FordPass Rewards
• Access Roadside Assistance
• Find and reserve a parking spot ahead of time
• Schedule your next service appointment with your preferred Ford Dealer
• Find a fuel station and compare fuel prices or find nearby electric charging stations
• Use remote access to lock/unlock or start your vehicle if your vehicle is equipped with FordPass Connect

What is FordPass Connect?

FordPass Connect is the embedded modem (in your vehicle) that allows you to connect and control certain vehicle functions such as:

• Remote start: A simple press of a button will start your car from afar, and you also have the option to schedule a remote start to ensure your vehicle is ready when you need it to be.
• Lock and unlock: Wherever you are, you can unlock or lock your car doors.
• Locate your vehicle: Forgot where you parked in a vast Lancaster parking lot? This feature saves your vehicle's location as soon as the engine shuts off.
• Vehicle updates: Certain vehicle vitals, including fuel level, mileage on the odometer, and miles until your next service, are all available at your fingertips. New vehicles with Fordpass Connect can also update wirelessly over the air to keep their vehicles up to date with new features and software.

Many of the models in the new Ford lineup have FordPass Connect enabled, this includes the 2019 and newer EcoSport, Edge, Expedition, Explorer, Escape, F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Bronco, Maverick and Mustang, just to name a few.

If you have an older vehicle or non-Ford vehicle, you may not be able to access FordPass Connect features, however there are several convenient perks available for you as well, like scheduling an appointment, recall notifications and keeping pertinent records (insurance, license plate #, etc.) all in one place.

FordPass Rewards

Ford's new and improved loyalty program, FordPass Rewards, can be accessed and monitored through the FordPass App. You can earn FordPass Reward Points through the things you already do with us, such as service and maintenance appointments. These points can be redeemed at the dealership for discounts on service, parts and accessories, and even on a new vehicle purchase!

Points can be redeemed through point-redemption requests via the FordPass Rewards App or on the FordPass website. The redemption rate is 200 FordPass Reward Points = $1. Members earn 10 Points per $1 spent.
