In our last post we told you all about the new FordPass App, and all of its great features available to both Ford owners and not alike. Now we are going to give you a how-to guide on setting the app up on your phone and how to use some of its key features.
Setting up and using the app is simple and fast.
Setting Up The App
In just a few quick steps you will have the FordPass App up and running on your phone! Watch our two quick videos below.
Step 1: Download the app from the Google Play Store on android devices or the App Store on IOS devices.
Step 2: The home screen of the app has an "Add Vehicle" button, this is where you will scan the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) bar code, or enter it manually.
Step 3: If your vehicle is FordPass Connect-equipped, tap the Activate Vehicle icon in the FordPass Vehicle Details screen.
Step 4: Start your vehicle and tap "Allow" on the pop-up that appears on the in-vehicle touchscreen. From here you can also activate the Wi-Fi hotspot trial period by tapping the blue Vehicle Hotspot icon in Vehicle Details.
Now that you have the app on your phone and FordPass Connect is activated you will be able to start, unlock and find your vehicle remotely.

Set a preferred Ford dealership
By setting your preferred dealership through the app you can easily schedule maintenance and service appointments in the palm of your hands.
Once your selection is complete, navigate back to the Vehicle landing page and your Preferred Dealership, Drayton Valley Ford, should be displayed.
Book a Service Appointment
Now that your vehicle is entered into the app and you have set your preferred dealership, you are able to book service appointments through the app!
After you complete your booking, you will not have the ability to view, edit, or cancel your scheduled services in the app. Should something arise and you need to change or cancel your appointment, please contact Lacombe Ford directly for any changes.
FordPass Rewards
By downloading and registering the app, you automatically are registered as a rewards member. This means you can start collecting points for every vehicle purchase, service and parts purchase.
Even if you don't have a Ford vehicle, you can still collect FordPass Points. Points are associated to a member account, not a vehicle. Our Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers provide quality parts and services for all makes and models. You will earn points with every visit and purchase.
Members can see their FordPass Rewards Points balances on fordpassrewards.com or in the FordPass app under the Account tab. Dealers are also able to look up the balance.
You points are typically deposited into your member's account within ten (10) days of the qualifying service transaction and 30 days of the sales transaction.
Points can be redeemed for any qualifying transaction at any participating dealership. A member may also redeem Points toward the purchase of a new vehicle at a participating dealership.
